For nearly a decade, CHACC—lovingly known as The Center—has stood as a cultural sanctuary in the heart of Southeast DC. Since opening our doors in 2015, we’ve been more than just an art gallery. We’ve been a movement. A safe haven. A home for creativity, culture, and connection East of the River.

 

Because of your love and support, CHACC has flourished into a space where stories are shared, futures are shaped, and the power of art is used to heal, uplift, and transform. We’ve sparked passion in young artists, created jobs through creativity, and made sure our people—especially low-income residents—have access to vibrant, soul-nourishing experiences that reflect and respect us.

 

Now, we’re inviting you to celebrate our journey.

 

Join us as we mark 10 years of being Soufside Strong—10 years of showing up for our community with purpose, pride, and paint-stained hands. This is more than a fundraiser—it’s a family reunion, a love letter to the people who made this all possible, and a glimpse into the bold future we’re building together.
