MORE INFORMATION ON OUR FAMILY RESOURCE CENTER...
Our Mission
To help ensure every resident has a place to call home
Purpose
To help every resident identify housing options that align with their financial goals and best meet their needs.
OUR HISTORY
The Central Community Development Corporation (CCDC) was formed to improve the quality of life in economically depressed areas. The Founders determined, among all residents in the District of Columbia (DC), the residents of Wards 7 and 8 were the primary target population for its mission. Consequently, CCDC was established in 2012 as a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. It is headquartered at 3200 Martin Luther King Jr. Avenue SE, Washington, DC 20032. CCDC pursues opportunities and executes programs to accomplish its mission through:
-
enriching human capital
-
developing real estate including affordable housing (both rental and home ownership)
-
establishing community centers
-
creating and refining small businesses
-
providing research and information to foundations and corporate giving programs that serve or advocate for disadvantaged people
-
overseeing reports, conducting meetings and hosting workshops for nonprofits about how to obtain charitable contributions
-
conducting research and providing information about funding sources for nonprofit organizations
-
bolstering other services to strengthen the stability of the nonprofit sector
-
informing the public about the funding needs of organizations that provide services or advocate for low-income and disadvantaged communities
